Step 1: Connect

Connect is all about relationships because God created us that way! It’s the Epic Family being intentional about developing relationships with people who don’t know Jesus as Savior and Lord of their lives. It’s people who aren’t part of the Epic Family yet letting us know how we can pray for them and serve them and asking us any questions they might have.

-Believers: pray for and learn people’s names, be great neighbors and serve not-yet-Christ-followers.

-People not part of the Epic Family: connect with an Epic Family Member or go HERE to connect with us through our online Connection Card.

Step 2: Serve Together

This step is all about making a tangible difference in the Name of Jesus in our community and world and also serving our church family. We want to help you discover, develop and use your spiritual gifts, God-given abilities and passion for the Kingdom! Since we’ve been “blessed to be a blessing,” we will look for opportunities to meet practical and spiritual needs, then take the initiative as individuals and in teams to meet them!

STEP: Contact the Ministry Team Leader by going HERE or if you see a need, build a team and meet it!

Step 3: Choose Community

We must be intentional about growing in our faith and Disciples of Jesus are best made in community! We need each other for prayer, encouragement, studying God’s Word, speaking the truth into each other’s lives and living out the Gospel together in our everyday lives! Oh, food and fun too!

STEP: In addition to making disciples in your family, commit to obedience-based, relational discipleship by choosing to be part of one or more of the following (go HERE to find the environment right for you):

1.  a Community Group (6-12 people; singles, couples, mixed) or

2.  a DNA Group—disciple, nurture, act (3-5 people of same gender) or

3.  one-on-one Discipleship (same gender)

Step 4: Believe in and Surrender to Jesus

The Gospel requires a decision—to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God and to confess Him as Lord over all. We want to help people come to a saving faith in Jesus and then help them THRIVE as they surrender all areas of their lives to Him.

STEP: Put your faith in Jesus and submit to Him as Lord of your life--be born-again! Contact an Elder or a Staff Member HERE if you have questions or to tell us the great news!!

  * Repent of (turn from) your sin and your old way of life and turn to God.

  * Confess with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised            Jesus from the dead. (Romans 10:9)

  * Obey Jesus’ command, and example, and be baptized.

Step 5: Go Make Disciples

Jesus gave us ONE mission--to make disciples who make more disciples! We want to do that like He did: out of love, be on mission to seek and save the lost, be life-on-life in our everyday rhythms and be obedient to the Father. We believe that all of life is discipleship and while we still will gather on Sundays, the 166 hours we spend outside the church building’s walls is just as, if not more, important! Jesus had different sized groups of disciples and we want to create those environments too.

*  Lead a Community Group that multiplies.

*  Lead a gender specific DNA Group (disciple, nurture, act) that reproduces [3-5 people of

   same gender].

*  Disciple someone 1-on-1 who will disciple others.
